This is the weirdest IM i’ve gotten in a long time. Who says “asl” anymore? Pretty funny. At first I thought it was one of those spam bots but they didn’t even try to get me to click on a shady link. Will the mysterious ThYouthGuy please stand up?! I have my suspicions.
2nd pic of Pink Floyd shooting their new album cover on top of Primrose Hill in NW London (last night).

Washed Out- Feel It All Around - Santos Party House 10/19/09
$$$ quotes…
“Schoolboy-pretty in an Oxford shirt peeking out from a dark sweater, Mr. Greene, who played a keyboard and his laptop, was excited to the point of goofiness at this show, clapping after each song and reminding the packed crowd to loosen up: “This is fun!””
“But then, like many of the songs on “Life of Leisure,” it came to an abrupt, unexplained end. A couple of minutes later, Mr. Greene was gone. By the time CMJ kicked into gear on Tuesday, he was already on a plane back to his peaches, leaving others to do in a week what he’d managed in a night.”
Yaya! me n Austin rocked out to this yestaday
The show started out with 2 very slow, building ambient tracks that were beautiful, and very different from his recorded stuff. They really started the show off wonderfully
After that I kept switching between being elated and super into the songs and being snapped back into reality when he was being all awkward and cute. Hah- Derick made a comment that he felt like Ernest was his little nephew and he’s “just so proud.” It’s true— his amateurity (word?) was completely endearing. It wasn’t laughable or scoffable like some bands that sound incredible recoded and can’t put together a live show worth shit. It’s completely genuine and the fact that he’s just so new— his first NY show! I’d be nervous as fuck too. From pressing “stop” on his tracks or getting a little carried away on the vocals after hearing approval from the crowd is something he’s not gonna be doing in a few months (weeks? days?). I’m excited to see this guy’s evolution because though he may just be an awkward preppy kid musician from the south, he makes some awfully fantastic feel-good music.
